Well, the Kyle Quilters Quilt Show was this past weekend, and I entered two of my quilts! My Jack-O'-Lantern Lane Halloween quilt and my Pfaces self-portrait that I made in Judy Bauman's class.
I was a little nervous about entering at first, but once I made up my mind, I was just excited to be part of the show.
Did I win any ribbons? Nope! But that's okay. I had a great time, got to see some beautiful quilts, and enjoyed being part of it all.
I spent part of Saturday selling raffle tickets, and I had a great time visiting with everyone. My sister was busy handing out my Tootie's business cards like she was getting paid to do it. Me? I managed to hand out one. 😂 She's definitely better at that part than I am!
Speaking of my sister, Sharon won first place People's Choice for her beautiful Anemone Dreams quilt! She added Swarovski crystals to the butterfly wings and the flower, and boy, did they sparkle! The way they caught the light was just gorgeous. I'm so proud of her, and I'm not surprised she won!
After all that excitement, I came home ready to get started on another project on my longarm.
Well, that didn't go as planned.
Apparently, my needle and bobbin decided they weren't going to cooperate. And to make matters worse, I managed to strip the screws on my needle plate, so now I can't even get the darn thing off!
I finally gave up and went to bed mad. 😂
So now I have a longarm that needs some attention, another quilt waiting to be quilted, and a couple of screws that are testing my patience.
Anybody ever stripped the screws on their needle plate? How in the world did you get them out? Leave a comment and tell me, because I could really use some advice!
